BOM 5 RING PORTUGUESE GAG

This Portuguese gag features two extra rings on the bit rings. The cheekpiece of the bridle is attached to the top ring and the rein to the bottom ring of the bit, enabling the bit to have an action midway between a snaffle and a regular gag. The bit also has a central link with 5 sweet metal rings set over the link. The metal rings encourage the horse to play with the bit, encouraging salivation. The sweet iron covering on the bit also encourages the horse to salivate and helps to soften the mouth. Sizes: 4.5", 5" and 5.5".
