This long shank hackamore is supplied with a thin braided leather noseband and a leather and chain curb strap. It has a loose ring which the cheekpiece is attached to, this allows more leverage and therefore greater control than the regular long shank hackamore. It is chrome plated and popular amongst showjumpers and pleasure riders. Although the hackamore does not go into the horse's mouth it is still extremely effective - there is immense pressure on the horse's nose. As the hackamore has a long shank it is much stronger than the short shank hackamore. It is suitable for horses with mouth injuries or horses with very sensitive mouths.
