This stainless steel bit has a standard jointed metal mouthpiece and a hanging cheek, and because it is made of stainless steel, it is designed never to rust, bend or break. This exerts a degree of poll pressure which encourages the horse to lower its head. The top ring attaches to the cheek pieces of the bridle and the larger ring to the reins. This is a very useful bit for the horse with a high head carriage. This bit is permissible for dressage when used with a snaffle bridle or with a double bridle, on the bridoon rein.
