FULL CHEEK DOUBLE TWISTED WIRE

This bit has stainless steel full cheeks and a double twisted copper wire mouthpiece. The double mouthpiece works on both the upper and lower jaws and provides a high degree of tongue pressure. The twisted wire is the most severe type of mouthpiece. The copper encourages the horse to salivate. The full cheek prevents the bit from being pulled through the horse's mouth. Correctly used with fulmer keepers, the mouthpiece cannot be turned over in the horse's mouth while at work. Also, the full cheek provides more lateral control by creating light pressure on the horse's cheeks. This is an extremely severe bit and should never be used by the inexperienced rider.
