FULL CHEEK FRENCH COPPER WIRE

This bit has stainless steel cheeks and a twisted copper wire mouthpiece with a central French link. The twisted wire is one of the severest mouthpieces available, the copper aids in salivation. The French link softens this bit slightly by ensuring the bit lies across the horses tongue, reducing tongue pressure. The full cheek prevents the bit from being pulled through the horse's mouth. Correctly used with fulmer keepers, the mouthpiece cannot be turned over in the horse's mouth while at work. Also, the full cheek provides more lateral control by creating light pressure on the horse's cheeks. This is an extremely severe bit and should never be used by the inexperienced rider.
