This bit is made of stainless steel, and is designed never to rust, bend or break. It has loose rings and a straight mouthpiece. The straight bar is slightly stronger than a mullenmouth as it exerts more pressure on the bars of the horse's mouth. As it is metal, it is stronger than straight mouthpieces made of rubber or nathe. It creates a lighter feel than the eggbutt mullenmouth, due to the action of the loose ring. Often used when showing in hand.
