1. Internal Sales Assistant

The above position is currently vacant and needs to be filled as soon as possible.

Key Performance Areas: 

The sales representative will report to the branch manager of Johannesburg and duties will include: 

  • Internal sales 
  • Servicing existing client base 
  • Developing new client base 
  • Stock control of shop 
  • Available to work overtime, weekends and public holidays 
  • Available to travel to away equestrian events 
  • Will be required to work at show stands as and when the need arises 

Requirements / Attributes:

  • 18 years or older 
  • Valid Matric (Grade 12) Certificate 
  • Valid light motor vehicle Drivers License 
  • Computer literate, including basic Excel, Word and Outlook skills 
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional languages are an advantage 
  • Sales experience an advantage 
  • Must be a sales & performance driven individual 
  • Presentable 
  • People oriented 
  • Equestrian background essential 
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the equine industry 
  • Candidate must be open to grow their knowledge in the equine industry 
  • Open to learning new skills and product information

2. Casual Sales Staff

The successful applicant will form part of our inhouse sales team and can look forward to working in a vibrant and enjoyable equestrian orientated environment. The applicant will report directly to the JHB Shop Manager and tasks will include serving clients and handling customer queries. The position is ideally suited to an outgoing, mature and reliable applicant with good administrative , communication and people skills. Equestrian knowledge is essential and previous sales experience will be beneficial. Applicants must be willing to work at least two weekends a month and on public holidays. 1. Sales Representative

The above position will become available on 1 November 2019.

Key Performance Areas: 

The sales representative will report to the branch manager of Pretoria and will be accountable for the following: 

  • External and internal sales 
  • Servicing existing client base 
  • Developing new client base 
  • Stock control of vehicle 
  • Saddle fitting (training will be provided ) – to this purpose the candidate must be able to analyse the conformation and soundness of a horse 
  • Working in store and on site at equestrian facilities 
  • Working in store on Saturdays and some Public Holidays 
  • Accurate and up to date performance of all administrative duties that arise from the generation of sales 

Requirements / Attributes:

  • Equestrian background essential 
  • Open to learning new skills and product information
